   Tukums is a typical small town in Latvia, some 67 km from Riga. "On my birthday, 2 April, I bought a regional newspaper "Independent Tukums News" and decided to create photographic illustrations for all the articles that were found in this issue," says the artist. As a result, the photographs by Arnis Balcus as well as the original articles from the newspaper formed a new paper called "Tukums News" that was commissioned by Tukums Museum and available for free around the town in July and August 2013.
